Why do I call it magical? Because this base of coconut oil, jojoba oil and rosehip seed oil has been incredible for my balancing my oily skinÂ đŸ’„

Many of you have asked for the recipe for this magical moisturizer, so here it is. Please note a couple things:

1. you should choose your base oils based on your skin type. I have posted a graphic about base oils and skin type at the bottom of this post.

2. there are many many essential oils that are great for the skin. I chose these ones based on my needs, but you aren’t limited to these. Except to say — ALWAYS use Frankincense. Always. It’s magic for healthy, youthful skin.

My recipe:

1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tsp jojoba oil
1 tsp rosehip seed oil

Whip these oils together (I just used a fork)

Add these essential oils:

8 drops Frankincense
6 drops Lavender
6 drops Geranium
2 drops Myrrh
2 drops Rose

Mix them all together and put in a jar.

You may find that this moisturizer takes a little longer to absorb into your skin than what you are using now, but that’s a good thing. It gives you time to really massage it in, and massaging your skin increases blood and oxygen flow, which in the long term increases collagen production — which gives you a youthful glow.
